Your guide to charting

Have you ever thought you’d like to get more technical in your trading? Are you thinking of investing in charting software, but don't know where to start? Or would you just like advice on how to be a better technical trader?

You will need hardware that is up to the job, as well as a decent broadband set up – 2Mbps minimum – from a well-reviewed provider. A decent computer is also a must – a minimum 1Ghz Pentium4 with at least 1Gb of memory and decent hard drive, plus at least a 17-inch LCD monitor. Also consider a disaster recovery scenario: can you ring the broker to get a position off if you need to? Can you use your mobile or a dial-up internet connection to close a trade?
